Jazz ‘N Paz


The seasonal monthly series, a collaboration between NUUC and performances a la carte, happens right here and serves as both a fund raiser and community outreach open to the public.  The 2018 Fall lineup of award-winning jazz legends and internationally renowned jazz players from the Los Angeles area will include everything from straight up jazz and jam to Latin, Afro-Cuban. So, beat the heat of the summer with cooool jazz and spread the word to neighbors and friends about this amazing series at NUUC!

Subscription Series Tickets (with reserved seating)  $60 for 3 concerts ($50 for NUUC Members)

Single Event Tickets (no reserved seating) $25 per concert

Tickets at the Door $28 cash only based on availability

Tickets are on sale on the patio before and after Sunday services

The Jazz ‘N Paz Series returns this Fall for another exciting series of concerts beginning September 16, 2018 with the duo 2 + 1 – Jamie Perez, vocals and Lyman Medeiros, bass, joined by the legendary jazz trumpeter, Nolan Shaheed. Highlighting jazz standards and originals with textural improv and interpretation. Filling out the ensemble will be familiar sax and piano favorites, Martin Mathews and Chad Edwards, respectively.

Jazz ‘N Paz’s second concert will be on Sunday, October 7 at 5PM and will feature the fabulous vibes diva, Lolly Allen with internationally renowned jazz pianist, Gary Fukushima and bassist, Mike Alvidrez. Jazz sax master, Rickey Woodard will be guesting on this exciting concert!

The final Jazz ‘N Paz Fall 2018 concert will feature acclaimed guitarist, Will Brahm and his trio Homenaje (“Tribute”) with Ahmet Turkmenoglu, bass and Diego Alvarez, percussion paying tribute to Latin, Afro-Cuban, Israeli roots in an amazing multi-cultural jazz experience.
