Art has been used throughout the ages to express one’s theology. From early cave drawings and talismans used by ancient indigenous peoples to great composers such as Handel, writers such as Dante, and beautiful madalas created everyday by Hindu and Buddhist monks around the world.

In these pieces of art the artists used reflection and inspiration to create and express their theological understanding and perspective. Each of the artists created their art through self reflection and exploration of several theological themes.

Join our Ministerial Intern AJ Blackwood for a new multi-session class that explores this intersection of theology and art. Participants will have an opportunity to explore, reflect, and express their personal theology. We’ll be using a variety of media sources, such as film and television, to explore how theology is expressed all around us, every day.

Please contact AJ Blackwood with any questions. Church members and friends 14+ are welcome to participate.
