Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring everyone is able to actively participate in services and programs. We work to build an inclusive beloved community. Please see below for ways we make our campus accessible. If you have any questions not addressed, please email info@neighborhooduu.org. We look forward to welcoming you to our campus!

Mobility

Our sanctuary and Spiritual Exploration classrooms are fully accessible to those using wheelchairs or having limited mobility. Gender Inclusive wheelchair accessible restrooms are in the Sanctuary and program building. There is elevator access to the upstairs program building, as well as handicap parking. We have also a wheelchair available on campus for individuals to use as needed.

Sight

We have large print hymnals available, and lyrics are posted on electronic monitors in large fonts. If you would like an orientation tour of the campus during the week, please contact info@neighborhooduu.org.

Hearing

Assisted listening devices are available outside the sanctuary door in the lobby. We also have a T-Loop system in the sanctuary. We are glad to to provide an American Sign Language Interpreter upon request. Please email info@neighborhooduu.org to ensure our ASL interpreter can attend.

Social Distancing

At our 9:30am service, we have a “masks only” section with extra space for social distancing. For specific distancing needs or have questions, please email info@neighborhooduu.org.

Chemical Sensitivity

We use odorless candles, and we have well ventilated areas in our sanctuary. If you have a question, please talk to the welcome table prior to service or email info@neighborhooduu.org

Children With Special Needs

If you want your child to participate in the Spiritual Exploration program and feel that they may require special accommodation due to learning differences or behavioral challenges, please contact the Director of Spiritual Exploration Matt Vasko at mvasko@neighborhooduu.org. We welcome all children and will work with you to ensure the best possible arrangements can be made. All classrooms have a sensory box on hand to help accommodate children with neurological differences.

Pastoral Care

We provide pastoral care to all members regardless of ability. If you have a hidden disability that you think it’s important for someone to know, please contact a member of the pastoral care team or our minister to share your information in confidence.

Service Animals

Service and emotional support animals are welcome at our church.
