“What is a Unitarian Universalist, Anyway?”
Writing your one-minute ‘elevator pitch’

Saturday, October 26th, 2:00-4:00pm, Ross Chapel
Have you been asked about our church and struggled to come up with a quick answer of what we believe? Are you thinking about how to define your changing beliefs? Did you grow up in another faith tradition and you’re trying to figure out how Unitarian Universalism overlaps, enhances, or forms a new understanding of your faith journey?
In this two hour event led by Senior Minister Rev. Dr. Omega Burckhardt and Director of Congregational Life, Ginger Furey, you will:
- gain a brief overview of Unitarian Universalist history
- understand how we are a living tradition and what that means for covenantal belonging
- explore our shared values and our principles
- meet other congregants and explore similarities and differences in faith formation
- practice your (short!) faith statement in a safe, fun, environment
This session is appropriate for new Unitarian Universalists as well as our seasoned UU members. While the youngest amongst us might prefer to play (let us know if you need childcare!), youth who are in R.O.P. or high school might enjoy the activity.
